Currently, I am working on four new rulesets that are in various states of development. None of them are far enough along for real play-testing, but they all have some initial work on basic mechanics complete.
The works are:
REDLINE
This will be a car-combat game similar to Total CARnage but without the dexterity mechanic. For inspiration I have looked away from other car combat games, and instead turned my attention to Aircraft games as a guide. This is intended to use Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars as base models, but use more traditional wargaming resolution mechanics.
Mageloque
This game has been on my radar for a long, long time. It is essentially taking Napoleonic style rules and melding them in with Magic and Monsters. It has been done before, but this is my twist on it. This is intended to be "Big Battles" type of game and not a skirmish scale. Therefore, it has taken more work for me to get the mechanics right for the feel I want.
Heirs to Empire
Heirs is probably the closest to beign completed as much of it works off of the same mechanics as Men of Bronze. The main changes will be in scenarios, army lists, and tweaks around the edges for the proper feel of the game. Some initial playtesting has begun, but there is still a long time to go until it is ready to go into the WIP part of the blog.
Skies of Fire
This game has been on my list for a long time too. The initial idea was a dogfighting game with fantasy elements, but as I think and evolve it the game has changed. Now it is more like a fantasy, flying warship game. However, sinc eI all ready have Castles in the Sky I might go away from this and head back to a dogfighting game with dragons. <shrug> We will see.
