Could you double-check the Operational Cost of the Iron Duke battleship? It's the same as the Queen Elizabeth, but it's a vastly less capable ship. Maybe I'm missing something: it has touch more forward firepower, but the guns have lower Power ratings for penetrating armor. Otherwise, everything is equal or inferior to the QEs.

Sorry, I missed these at the end of page 2! Thanks for mentioning it! 1. The last line of the "Fighters" rule reads: "An airship attacked by aeroplanes gains a friction marker." a. Does this mean 1 friction per aeroplane, or one friction regardless of how many aeroplanes attack? b. Since this is in the Fighters rule, it should read, "An airship attacked by fighters gains a friction marker." Yes, no matter how many fighters attack, it is one Friction marker. 2. The "Bombers" rule reads: "Roll 1d6 for each bomber ... Place 1 friction marker on the target ship." The last step of the bombing procedure reads, "Place a friction marker on an airship hit by a bomber." Just to be painfully clear, a bomber that attacks and inflicts a hit places 2 friction markers on the ship. A bomber that attacks and misses places 1 friction marker. Is that correct?
Interesting. It should be 1 Friction marker no matter how many bombers attack, and each bomb hit causes 1 friction marker.

1. Is it correct that a number of Torpedo boats have Stern torps? This seems very odd. Yes. Oddly enough, it was a feature of some torpedo boats of the era. I tried to base the airship designs on actual WWI era designs when possible. Could you point to some historical examples of those stern firing torpedo boats? I'm vaguely aware that there were stern launched torpedoes, but I had assumed that it would either sink and then accelerate bow-ward underneath the torpedo boat, or the boat would evade its own torpedo after launching.

Oh, it has been a while and I am not a naval expert by far. I tended to see it on German and Russian craft IIRC, but there maybe others as well. I am guessing torpedo firing doctrines may have been different by national Navy. The Cricket Class from 1905 I tried to mirror WW1 ships in the rules, so if you see a ship with a stern air torpedo, chances are that the actual WW1 ship had a stern torpedo launcher. The destroyers/escorts maybe an exception, since for space I combined a lot of classes and features into one stat line. This is a good read on the topic. www.navalgazing.net/Battleship-Torpedoes-Part-1
