I'm newly interested in Castles in the Sky, I just picked up the book and I'm interested in seeing if I can drum up some interest in my area. I found Castles in the Sky via my Battlefleet Gothic Discord, where it was mentioned for having a particularly interesting morale / initiative / command and control system. I have a few questions though. I'd appreciate any answers, from the author or anyone else! - Some batteries have a Power + value listed for range bands in which they have no Firepower. Is this a typo?
- The Russian Izyaslav-Class Destroyer has Speed 18 bombs. Those are some fast bombs! Is that a typo?
- The American Connecticut-Class Heavy Cruiser has asymmetrical light batteries, the port side is stronger than the starboard side. Is this a typo?
- The Ottoman Barbaros Heyreddin's prow and broadsides heavy batteries seem a little weird. Their firepower dice seem oddly low - -/2/1/1 - despite quite good power bonuses, and their stern and broadsides heavy batter is actually more accurate (though with less power). Is that intentional, or a typo?
- Is the British Indefagitable supposed to have Speed 19 torpedoes?
- Speaking of typos, is there an errata document?
- Has the author ever commented on which specific Imperial Skies ships he imagined for each of the ship profiles in Castles in the Sky?
- Let's say what I really wanted to play was sky pirates... does anyone have any suggestion for which fleet would be the most characteristic of piratical raiding / hit-and-run tactics?
- Has anyone given any thought to creating a fleet list to represent Martians coming back to Earth for another go? I feel like that would be a lot of fun.

First off, WELCOME!
Here is some answers.....
1- If there is no firepower, there is no Power rating.
2. Bombs should be Speed 6
3. The batteries should match with the stronger batteries being on both sides.
4. The Barbaros Heyreddin is accurate.
5. Speed 18 torpedoes
6. Not really, not errata document yet.
7. The classes in the book are not intended to match Brigades models 1-for-1. Instead, they reflect classes of the period in actual naval vessels.
8. For Sky Pirates, the French have a fleet based more on Raiding, hit and run, sniping, and stand-off capabilities.
9. Yes, I have thought about it, but have not gone any further than thinking.
I hope that helps!
